My design for the Sawdust Art Festival was difficult. I wanted to create the appearance that all of the content of the poster was blended into eachother.
I found a photo of a surfer in the sunset because I thought it embodied the art festival mood. I typed, "sponsored by Honda" along the sunray so it would blend in and look like it was apart of the poster.
I put a drop shadow on Sawdust to give it a three dimensional look, and to match the surfers shadow as if the Sawdust was affected by the same sunset.
